My flight on 4 June 2010 to New Zealand from Los Angeles was my first time to ever cross the international date line. It is somewhat a weird experience to simply lose an entire day just by flying over a line; however, it does give me the advantage of being one of the first people in the whole world to see the sunrise each day!
For Noah’s 28th birthday I wanted to do something special, unique, and with a tie-in to his passion for things like recycling, reusing products, and reducing waste while at the same time surprising our guests and awakening them, and him, to a brand new experience that they have never witnessed. From here, the flavour tripping experience was conceived!
I recently posted a status update on my LinkedIn profile which said “I hope that fortune favours the bold as I am making some bold moves lately”. Today I received a response from one of my connections via my inbox which read “There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots”, a quote by Chuck Yaeger. My somewhat quick-witted response read “Well then let us be glad that I am not a pilot but rather an adventurer!”.
